Hotels
Some hotels in Winterthur offer special rates for the conference.
Please note the respective cancellation policy. If you choose to arrive, depart on other dates than 4th-7th of June please contact hotels directly mentioning EATAW 2023 and the link.
Rates
Standard: 300 CHF
Virtual presentation: 250 CHF
PhD Student: 200 CHF
According to Swiss Laws V.A.T. does not apply.
Please note that, according to the EATAW constitution, eventual surpluses will be granted to the following EATAW conference (fee waivers) or similar. Please note the terms and conditions for attending the conference.
Fee waivers
There is a long tradition in EATAW of offering conference fee waivers and/or financial support to presenters in contexts or countries where they might not get university support to attend conferences. The EATAW board and EATAW 2023 organisers therefore invite applications for fee waivers.
The requirements for eligibility for a fee and conference dinner waiver from the conference organiser:
- Applicants must have a proposal accepted for the conference.
- Applicants must submit a statement justifying their application for a fee waiver to eataw2023@zhaw.ch with subject line “Request for EATAW 2023 Fee Waiver” no later than March 1, 2023
Applications will be evaluated after March 1, 2023 by a committee who will consider them on the merits of both the statement and the conference abstract. We hope to reach decisions within a week to ten days from receiving applications.
Public Transport
See SBB. Travel time from Zurich airport to Winterthur central station (which is around 5 minutes walk from the venue and most hotels) is around 20 minutes. Make sure you buy a full price ticket (around 8.80 CHF) as there are also half-price tickets for people with discount cards.
